Laurel Family Camp Participation Policies & Agreement
By registering for Laurel Family Camp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and policies for yourself and anyone you register.
Camp Policies Overview
General Liability Waiver
Participation in Laurel Family Camp involves inherent risks, including outdoor adventures, physical activities, and group events. By registering, you voluntarily assume all risks and agree to hold Laurel Family Camp, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates harmless from liability—except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Medical Treatment Authorization
In the event of illness or injury, you authorize camp staff or designated medical personnel to provide first aid, seek medical care, and arrange transportation if necessary. You are responsible for any associated costs. Please provide accurate medical information for all registered individuals prior to camp.
Infectious Disease Waiver (Including COVID-19)
You understand that attending camp may involve exposure to contagious illnesses. You voluntarily assume these risks and agree to follow any health and safety protocols set by camp leadership.
Behavioral Expectations & Dismissal Policy
All participants are expected to follow camp rules and respect the safety and well-being of others. Laurel Family Camp reserves the right to dismiss anyone—without refund—who engages in unsafe or disruptive behavior.

Teen group is for those who have completed 6th grade through those entering their senior year.
A 12-year-old who has completed 6th grade may join the teen group.
A 19-year-old still in high school is considered a teen.
High school graduates or equivalent are considered adults.
12-year-olds in the teen group qualify for a half-price registration fee (Short Folk rate).
Questions? Just ask—we’re happy to clarify.
Bringing Additional Minors
Parents allowing children/teens to attend with another family do so at their own discretion.
The adult bringing any additional minor is fully responsible for them—this includes medical care, behavioral issues, and transportation.
Laurel Camp does not provide rides or find adults to take responsibility for children who attend without their parents.
Lake & Safety Policies
Lake Use Guidelines
There is no lifeguard on duty.
Lake visits are allowed during free time only (not part of the morning program).
If you take a non-family minor to the lake, two adults (18+) must be present.
Parental permission is required for any minor going to the lake.
Driving Minors Off Camp
You must be 21 or older to drive a non-family minor off camp property.
Parental permission is required for any minor leaving camp.
