Willing to prepare and give a talk and/or lead the adult and some of the teen campers in some sort of interactive experience that relates to the day's topic in the time allotted to you during the morning program ... be prepared to give a brief recap of what you covered for the adults who had to miss your talk because they were teaching in the school

Newcomer orientation ... find out who will be new to camp [or camp as we know it] , call them ahead of time to answer questions and concerns they may have and give them a better idea of what to expect ... help match them with an experienced family of similar make up of age and circumstance, who will be there the same week and can show them the ropes.

CabinDir

Figure out the puzzle of matching families to cabins ... have a familiarity with the cabins ... try to put babies and those with trouble walking, etc. in main camp ... get current map to camp before the crew takes mattresses around first week.

Pre-Name Tags

Make nametags from the most up-to-date registration lists to have available
at the beginning of each week ... can't be done too far ahead of time ... they need to be at camp by beginning program ... last minute additions can be handmade by name-tag-nag at camp.

Cabin Signs

Get a list of names from registrar for your week ... either print out each name
on the computer in very large print, one per page, or draw it by hand ... decorate and make sure they are laminated ... can't be done way ahead of time when lists are inaccurate, but need to be at camp before or by early on the saturday afternoon of your week ... a few last minute additions can be made and laminated at camp by the welcomers on saturday.

MAILBOX SIGNS get a list of names from registrar for your week ... either print out each name on the computer in print that is an inch or two high, or draw it by hand ... cut into cards that are 2 or 3 inches high and decorate ... they can be laminated at home or [if not too big] at camp ... can't be done way ahead of time when lists are inaccurate, but need to be at camp before or by early on the saturday afternoon of your week
