There will be a clipboard with instructions and everything else you need on a shelf in the "execudir's office" ... get help from recruitdir to distribute shut-down job descriptions ... you will be called to front of room on friday morning to go over the saturday schedule and let everyone know what is expected of them and needed from them [this info will be on your clipboard] ... and you will need to make sure everyone has what they need to do their jobs [also on your clipboard]

Make sure there are tables outside dining hall [on porch if raining]... try to keep things brought from everywhere as organized and as visible as possible so they can be spotted by their owners ... don't let kids take things that aren't theirs until 11am ... right before 11am, set aside anything that looks like it belongs to, or could be used by the camp, and anything that looks so valuable that it will be asked for, such as fancy cameras, etc ... at 11am, let kids and adults take what they want ... throw away trashy stuff and pack good stuff to go to B.A.T.S. in B.A.

TRASH CANS empty "good" trash cans with lids and take them to kitchen for pots & pans, etc, to be packed into them ... leave not-so-good and/or lidless cans out and lined in strategic places for closing clean-up trash

Fill out the form for shut-down or closing coordinator on thursday ... take everything but arrows off the fridge, take sticky-tac off 3x5s, ... 4x6s & map, and tuck those cards, etc into bean book for your week ... take sticky-tac off of laminated adult and teen group cards and their beans ... 'toss the beans' ... put laminated adult cards into page #19 of the next week's bean book, and laminated teen cards into pouch, page #31 of the next week's bean book this is a good thursday & friday job.

Be at mattress cabin to receive 100 cloth covered mattresses ... there will be five stacks... on the floor under each stack there should be an old mattress with plastic tarp on top ... above that, approximately 20 cloth covered foam [fewer under light, more where they fit] ... plastic tarps go over top of stacks to protect from animal droppings.

Make sure personal belongings have been removed and taken to the rummage tables ... musical instruments should not go to the rummage table ... everything that is going into storage should be packed, tagged with yellow 'rec hall' tags & placed on north end of porch to be trucked to storage ... musical instruments, etc. that DOESN'T go to storage should be far enough on the other end of porch from storage stuff to not get picked up by truckers ... make sure building is swept clean, trash is out, chairs folded
against the wall in a tidy way.

Pack song books for winter storage ... sort song books into "O.K." and "needs repair" ... pack "O.K." books into as few of the blue tubs as possible, label each tub with a yellow "rec hall" tag and place out on porch to be picked up for storage ... place broken books into as few of the remaining tubs as possible and make sure they get into the hands of someone who can take them to B.A. rather than getting mixed up with containers going into storage.

Pack candles and other things needed for groups... pack trays and candles into tub, closed tissue boxes should go to paper goods packer ... open boxes should go to rummage table ... lighters and group folders should go to deposit box on dining hall porch ... attach a yellow "rec hall" tag to tub and place on porch to be picked up for storage.

AFTER the rec hall has been cleaned with these items, in a trash bag, pack the 3 waste baskets, 2 dust pan and brush sets, box of small trash bags ... attach yellow "rec hall" tag to bag ... make sure the push broom and other broom are marked with yellow "rec hall" tags ... put bag and brooms out on porch to be taken to storage.

CLOSE BULLETIN BOARDS, EASLES, ETC.
Pack 8 large items ... 1&2) bulletin boards... remove nails holding bulletin boards on doors ... attach yellow "rec hall" tag to each in such a way that tape won't destroy painted surface when removed next year ... 3&4) attach yellow tag to each of two easles ... 5,6&7) put each of three music stands into plastic trash bag[s] so they won't rust over the winter ... put yellow tag on each bag/stand ... 8) tape snuffer to candle stick [remove candles] ... attach yellow tag to candle stick ... place all 8 items out on porch to be picked up for storage.

CLOSE MARKERS, CARDS, PENCILS, LIGHTERS
Collect together purple lighters, pencils, blank index cards and the markers used for lectures, and put them into "lecture/worship/process" box ... attach a yellow "rec hall " tag to box and take to storage building.

Make sure main baths and laundry area are cleaned and packed up ... make sure main baths have been emptied and all personal stuff from bathrooms and laundry area have been removed to the rummage tables ... make sure the main baths have been washed up and hosed down ... make sure bathroom cleaning supplies and camp laundry stuff is packed up and labeled with yellow "laundry" tags and ready to be picked up for storage ... make sure the laundry area is swept clean and tidy before and after washer and dryer are removed.

Crew [or floaters] in addition to cleaning the bathrooms, remember to bring EVERYTHING back [except the half used toilet tissue in the stalls] so an inventory can be made before the next week.

Remove contents and quickly wash it down ... replace contents unless they're junk, in which case, throw them away.

2] put contents into upright freezer ...
3] you may want to have a container calf filled with very hat water to put in the bottom of freezer to help melt ice and warm you hands, etc. ... a spatula to help remove large chunks of ice and a bucket to contain the ice, etc ... the more you get out in ice chunks, the less water will need to be sopped up from bottom.

Wash and DRY each drink cooler as thoroughly as possible ... place opened container of baking soda at bottom inside near spout in each cooler ... place a small and a large cleaned and dried drip tray inside each cooler ... pack each cooler into a large clear trash bag [double bag] ... fasten a yellow "dining hall" tag to each tightly closed bag ... place bags over with "school" containers.

Collect together paper supplies from storage, under drink bar, under
counter in kitchen, toilet paper from bathrooms, unopened tissue boxes from rec hall ... make an inventory ... consolidate into as few boxes as possible without crushing anything ... double bag any "opened" cases ... single bag any cases that have not yet been opened ... leave out some cups, plates and paper towels for closing workers.

Remove duck tape & staples from yellow picnic table and 13 regular sized tables ... make sure vinyl is VERY dry before folding ... also fold loose one on small camping table ... pack into large clear trash bags [double bag] ... put yellow "dining hall" tags on outside of each bag.

Tidy up the school area ... separate out projects done by children this week so
they won't be cluttering up the area for the new group coming in ... make it look like the school area has been set up for the new week rather than taken over by the last week ... can be done friday afternoon.

Find all the extra brooms [not the really good ones used to clean the kitchen, dining hall, bathrooms, rec hall] and put them on the dining hall porch available for campers to use for their cabins.
