We are moving to Camp One.
Bring your swimsuit, suntan lotion and kayak!
Laurel Camp is moving next door to Group Camp One at Laurel Hill State Park. The new camp is very similar with the same type of cabins--except that these cabins are gorgeous and clean.
It accomodates about the same number of people. The layout consists of one upper camp and lower camp. The lower camp is closer to the lake but it is also very close to upper camp.
The camp has a large dining hall, a larger rec hall and a brand-new, heated (mmm..heat!) main bath with new fixtures and tiled walls and floor. There is also a family-style handicap-accessible bathroom unit. The laundry hookup is indoors as well.
One terrific new feature is that we have our own private beach on the lake! Besides being fabulous, just FAB-U-LOUS, place to stare at the water and reflect (lots of reflectin' at the lake) there is a volleyball area at the beach. The camp is sunnier and grassier, good-bye mold. The Jonesmill Run Creek is nearby with small sliding waterfalls and shallow pools for safe water-play.
This camp also has a small abandoned camp near the Lower Camp. The abondoned camp is also better, it's even more abandoned.
To summarize:
